1-2-3
In front of Gericault’s painting at the Louvre in Paris I spent a lot of time drawing thousands of times the horse’s stances.
I focused on the tension, movement and dynamic. Then I started a struggle with sand, knives and colors on the canvas. And this struggle became a personal fight in my life as the bullfight represented my own strength facing illness. The brushes and colors took complete control and I became only a witness… a machine.
