Custom Orders

I love people, and my greatest joy is creating a work with them, for them, that reflects who they are.

I thank those who have placed their trust in me and who are kind enough to share their experiences of our collaboration.

The process for each commission is as follows:

- A comprehensive interview with the client to discuss their wishes
- A proposal of two or three sketches. If approved, the commission begins.

- Creation in the studio or directly on site.

"Cyrano de Bergerac" (tapestry)

In 2024, the mayor of Cambo-les-Bains, Christian Deveze,

offered me a solo exhibition in the town of Edmond Rostand, a stone's throw from his legendary home, Arnaga.

I decided to create a major work

dedicated to Edmond Rostand and his theater. I created an oil painting on canvas and plexiglass (89 x 113 cm). Cyrano's silhouette is rendered in vibrant colors. In the background, we see Edmond Rostand's cats curled up in the library, his garden, and his majestic Arnaga home. This painting served as the "cartoon" for the tapestry. It is a unique piece measuring 2.66 by 2 meters. It is pure wool, hand-tufted, with more than 25 different colored threads.

250 cm x 270 cm, pure hand-tufted wool. 2022. Custom commission for an architect-designed property near Saint-Jean-de-Luz. The search for new mediums is the guiding thread of my work: sand painting and collage, then plexiglass and tapestry. After months of research, I discovered artisans from Eastern Europe who worked for a full month to create this tapestry.

"Arribaita" (the pelota player)

Mural size: 3m x 1.5m. 2020. It was during All Saints' Day that I met S. and C. and their children, and we began the interview. The conversation flowed freely, it was very joyful, and everyone shared their memories of the Basque Country: the pelota court at the Urrugne fronton with their grandparents, the Jennifer beer with friends, hikes to the top of La Rhune mountain, the Fueguo bull, trips to Spain… But also the importance of family ties, a home open to all, friendship, pushing oneself beyond one's limits, etc. S. and C. described this project as the final step in acquiring and renovating their house. I then presented them with two sketches, and they quickly chose one. And there I was, at the top of my ladder under the November sun, painting with the parents and children, working remotely and watching the mural's progress.

“Irella”

Creation of an exterior mural on an Art Deco property near Saint-Jean-de-Luz. Size: 2m x 1m. Their wish was to create a work that represents their family and its values. I worked with the whole family, who were present during the creation process (completed in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic). It just happened like that… humor, laughter, and coffee. So warm and welcoming. I also took into account the technical constraints related to the humidity of the Basque Country.
